Welcome to our website!!
We are Robin & Mirjam Mathijsen and since December 1st we live, with our son Milan, in Gmünd in Carinthia.
After many years of searching and preparing, finally our dream came true and now we are the owners of Pension Sonnenheim. Many years, we dreamed of a life in Carinthia and we wanted to give our guests a warm welcome and a nice place to go out and have a nice holidays. We offer a good nightrest in one of our 5 Deluxury Rooms or 5 Appartments, and after breakfast, the nice surroundings of Gmünd are waiting do be discovered. For everyone, there is a lot to see and do. From hiking and climbing, cycling and nice car/motortours to all kind of watersports at Lake Millstatt! Gmünd is situated at the sunny side of the Alps. Because the climate is influenced by the Mediterrenean Sea, we have most of the time long and warm summers.
But also in wintertime, Gmünd is great! There are good ski-areas nearby, almost never queues at the lifts, and the sun is your best company. There is also other kind of wintersports to do, like snowshoeing, waterfalliceclimbing ans tourskiing.
